Birth records for the state of Indiana were recorded by the
county health office beginning in 1882. The WPA began to index vital records,
county-by-county for the entire state, but the agency was abolished before it
was completed.
Including the names of over 9000 persons, this Indiana Death database provides the decedent's name, sex,
death date, father's name and mother' name. Also provided are the book and page
numbers from which the information was taken, to aid the researcher in obtaining
the original document.

County, Indiana for the years 1882-96. In addition to providing the name of the
